Over the weekend Jason went to play some golf with his buddies. Jason was annoyed because one of them said he had to check with his wife before he could confirm. “Guy who says he has to ask his wife” guy, don’t be that guy. To this Jason says “is she your keeper? You must check if you’re allowed to play golf with the boys?” It was explained that when you’re in a relationship you check with someone before you go and do something. Not checking if you have permission to go do something but to check if you have other plans you may have forgotten about. Jason wants to know what the line is. If you want to take a last-minute weekend trip to Arizona do you have to check with your wife? What about at Target and you see a pair of jeans on sale you want to buy, do you have to check then? Maybe it’s because Jason is not married but he doesn’t really see the reasoning behind asking your significant other. Nick and Deb explained that it’s a respectful thing to do in a committed relationship. Hopefully, Jason realizes it’s more of a communication thing rather than an asking for permission thing, we can only hope.
Austin FC
We had Tom Webb a representative from Austin’s first Football Club in studio today. We talked about how the Austin FC stadium progress is coming along. When it is complete it will seat 20,500 people for football matches and more for concerts. The stadium will be visible in the Austin skyline. According to Tom, completion date is sometime in Spring 2021. The first games will be played in Winter 2021 so this time next year! In addition to the stadium, they are building a training facility and front office. They will also start announcing players hopefully later on in 2020. Amazingly it is getting international recognition from Football clubs around the world. Not only are season passes availible but they are giving the Austin community 1,000 seats a game. In addition, they will be selling a limited amount of tickets under $20 making the games very affordable and accessible for Austin residents. Puppy Bowl!
Not only did the Super Bowl happen over the weekend but another important event occurred the Puppy Bowl! Jason and Deb were the official commentators of the action and our official 101x pup, Gracie got to play in the 1st quarter. Everyone had a great time over at Yard Bar and some puppies were even adopted! Check out pictures from the day!
