Deb To The Rescue

Deb rescues a pit.

Deb rescued an abused Pitbull from Brady, Texas earlier this week, and after Alfie put her at ease Deb was finally able to get her home. Sadly, the previous owners left her abandoned and tied without any shade and a stagnant tub of water in the Texas heat. Deb named her Braidy loosely after the town, but after taking a detailed look she had a hunch she may be pregnant in addition to more medical problems.

After taking Braidy for a checkup, the bad news was that she is heartworm positive, has two golf ball sized stones in her bladder and a spinal degradation that will need to be explored, but thankfully she isn’t pregnant and the medicine is already helping her swelling. After setting her up in Deb’s spare bedroom, Braidy is getting along great with the boys and finally making herself at home.

Braidy has been receiving a lot of love and support so far, although depending on her upcoming examinations donation details are still pending.

See the actual site of where Braidy was found.

After a big meal, Braidy was sound asleep. Volumes up! That is the sound of an extremely content dog.

Below is the latest update on the dog that was abandoned in Brady TX. Thank you @debokeefe and please us all posted. You have lots of support. #standupforpits #Repost @debokeefe with @get_repost ・・・ We’re hot, mildly sunburned and now I’m home, George the cat is very annoyed. But we did it. They say it takes a village and that’s an understatement. You are all bosses and need to be appreciated for every share and tag you did. That’s how I found her! I’ve tentatively called net ‘Braidy’. The town she was physically tied to is Brady Texas. They don’t need any kudos in her name so I changed it just a bit. On a separate note, and I think this is what all of y’all are thinking – FUCK THESE PIECES OF SHIT GOOD FOR NOTHING SO-CALLED HUMANS BEINGS THAT CAN TIE A SWEET BABY UP AND ABANDON HER. She had barely any shade, and note – we’re in central Texas, no food, and a stagnant tub of water. Oh and to top it off, I have a terrible feeling she’s pregnant. Again. Please imagine steam coming out of my ears!!!! I’m taking sweet Braidy to my vet tomorrow at 3 for a comprehensive check up. Let’s all hope that she’s not preggers again and that the damage to her sweet body from neglect is minimal. Btw I set her up with a sweet bed set up next to me in my spare bedroom (to spare the other pets from too much anxiety, and now, bc me – she’s laying next to me on the bed snoring like a Queen
