Arctic Monkeys Live at the BBC

Arctic Monkeys

This past Friday, the Arctic Monkeys took to the legendary Maida Vale studios in London to add a few new songs to their BBC Radio 1 performance arsenal. During their set, the band played songs from of their latest record, Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino, as well as a few throwbacks hits from their earlier albums. Tracks like “One Point Perspective,” “Star Treatment,” and “Four Out of Five,” were played off the new album, intertwined with modern AM classics like “R U Mine?,” “I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor,” and more.

Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino is a far departure from Arctic Monkeys’ usual sound, exchanging their signature forceful guitar riffs and rock n’ roll drum beats out for groovy keyboard melodies and more relaxed timekeeping from drummer Matt Helders. You can watch their new live session videos on the BBC Radio 1 YouTube channel, and stream Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino on all major streaming platforms.
