Today’s catch comes from the musician John Eatherly, who goes by the name CLUB INTL. The New York electronic musician has teamed up with Johnny Jewel (Chromatics, Desire, Glass Candy, Italians Do It Better), longtime collaborator Maxwell Kamins, and Cults front woman, Madeline Follin on a very new wave sounding tune called “Crush“. Straight from the Italians Do It Better website…

Club Intl is the latest project from NYC musician, John Eatherly. The project came to fruition when the East Village basement studio Eatherly records in, had a nightclub built directly on top of it. “All of a sudden there was this nightclub above our clubhouse.” Eatherly explains. “The energy from upstairs & seeing hundreds of kids just wilding out every night, started seeping into what we were working on downstairs.” Eatherly & longtime collaborator Maxwell Kamins channeled this energy into a new band called, “Club Intl”.

The infectious debut single “Crush” is produced & mixed by Johnny Jewel – released via Italians Do It Better.

This brilliant track sounds like it’s straight from the late 80’s. I can imagine it being played in “The Lost Boys”, “American Psycho”, “Less Than Zero”, and “Bright Lights, Big City” because of it’s infectious new wave sound. Surprise, surprise…Johnny Jewel is involved with another successful project. You can watch the video for today’s catch, “Crush“, by CLUB INTL in the YouTube player below. Good things!
