New Music Friday Ft. AWOLNATION, Beck, Bishop Briggs, And More

AWOLNATION

AWOLNATION

AWOLNATION has given fans a taste of what to expect on his forthcoming album with the release of “The Best.” This is the first bit of music from Aaron Bruno since 2018’s Here Come The Runts. The new track arrives along with the announcement of a tour with Andrew McMahon, which is set to kick off next summer. The tour will make their stop in Austin on June 13th at Stubbs Austin, as part of the 2020 101X Concert Series. Tickets are on sale to the general public as of today.

Beck

Beck has shared a fourth track titled “Dark Places” from his upcoming album Hyperspace. The new release is accompanied by a lyric video created by Eddie Obrand—stream the video below. Hyperspace arrives on November 22nd via Capitol Records and will feature previously released tracks “Uneventful Days,” “Hyperlife,” and “Saw Lightning.” Pharrell Williams helped co-produce and co-write seven of the 11 tracks on the album, including “Dark places.” Other artists that collaborated on the project include Coldplay’s Chris Martin, Sky Ferreira, and producers Greg Kurstin and Paul Epworth.

Bishop Briggs

Bishop Briggs’ new album, Champion, has finally arrived. The 101X Concert Series performer’s second studio album details the singer’s struggle with heartbreak and finding herself through it all; an excellent example of this would be the chorus in the title track: “You gotta get bruised before you get mad, you gotta fall down before you fight back, was feeling so weak but baby I’m strong, little did I know I’m a champion.” Stream the brand new album below.
