Yes! There’s a Hoobastank and Rihanna Collaboration in a different timeline.
On February 14th, lead singer Doug Robb, revealed the existence of a version of their song ‘The Reason’ with Rihanna on it.
His tweet reads: “True story. There is a version of a @Hoobastank song featuring @rihanna when she was a “newer” artist. Displaying a total lack of foresight, we didn’t use that version of the song for the album. We also didn’t think The Reason was a single though either so…Oops”
Robb included a video of Rihanna’s Super Bowl Halftime Show performance with Hoobastank’s “Crawling in the Dark,” playing instead of Rihanna’s set. Somewhere in a parallel universe Rihanna could’ve played ‘The Reason’ during the Superbowl Halftime.
