UKTX: Meet The Mysterines

Today’s featured UKTX tune is from the Merseyside outfit The Mysterines, who’ve been doing their thing since they were teenagers in 2016. Early fans included local legend James Skelly (The Coral), who helped them make their first single. More releases have ensued, and The Mysterines have entered 2021 on some picks-to-click lists. When they needed a video for today’s UKTX entry “I Win Every Time” during lockdown, frontwoman Lia Metcalfe took it upon herself to set up a camera, light up a cig, and rock out in the spare room–all without pants. Things went pretty well!

UKTX airs on 101X every weekday at 1! Catch a podcast featuring last week’s tunes here.
