UKTX Recap, 12/8/19: Another Gerry Cinnamon Show Premiere, More

Scotland’s nearly entirely-DIY folk-rock star, Gerry Cinnamon, recently delivered the title song to his upcoming second EP.  Here’s Gerry belting “The Bonny” on his own at last summer’s TRNSMT fest in Glasgow:

Gerry Cinnamon returns to his hometown next summer to headline 50,000 seat Hampden Park, the spiritual (and literal) home of Scottish football–but only after touring Australia with Liam Gallagher and visiting America for the first time in my recollection, playing along with Liam at Atlanta’s Shaky Knees.  Don’t forget to sign up for our Xcursion!

We got to “The Bonny”, Liam’s latest, and lots more on the latest edition of 101X’s all-British new music show, UKTX.  Here’s the latest list:

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds “Wandering Star”

Mumford and Sons “Blind Leading The Blind”

Liam Gallagher “Now That I’ve Found You”

Catfish and the Bottlemen “Encore”

Sam Fender “Saturday”

Foals “The Runner”

Blossoms “The Keeper”

Coldplay “Orphans”

Stereophonics “Bust This Town”

Elbow “White Noise White Heat”

1975 “Frail State Of Mind”

Gerry Cinnamon “The Bonny”
