Producer Katy is a BALLER

Katy holding a basketball

Producer Katy used to play basketball in middle school and high school and decided to get back into it. Jason says he has basketball skills so this has inspired Katy to start practicing again so she can defeat Jason in 1 vs. 1. Despite the major height disadvantage, Katy thinks if she dusts the rust off her basketball skills she’ll be able to pull off a win. She even went out the other day to buy a new basketball so she can train anytime! While she was shooting hoops at the park she even got asked out on a date, you can listen to the whole story during 9 AM podcast. Here’s a video of Katy shooting hoops the other day at the park!

Deb’s Traumatic Experience

Yesterday, when leaving work and pulling out into the highway that’s under construction right by the station Deb, witnessed something terrible. Across the next lane, she saw a stray dog running around and was going to stop and get him. Unfortunately, Deb was too late and witnessed the dog get hit by a car and the car drive off. Deb was able to stop both lanes of traffic to pick up the dog and bring him to her car. He had passed away from being hit and Deb was incredibly upset. He had a collar and his name was Baxter so she contacted his owner and their vet to let them know what happened. Deb wanted to take this moment to remind us that as humans we have a duty and responsibility to take care of and help vulnerable beings. Whether that be animals, the elderly or groups who are marginalized, people need to be nicer and care more. Rest in peace, Baxter we hope you are up there hanging out with Blue boy, George and Silent J.
