C Of The Week

Deb was over at a friend’s house doing some social distance sitting around the pool and narrowly avoided a complete disaster. She was minding her own business, sitting in a rocking chair, when one of the legs snapped and nearly spilled Deb into a pile of huge rocks. Luckily the only thing hurt was Deb’s pride, as it’s never a great feeling when you break a chair. Even luckier, her friend was there to file Deb as she tried to get back up in the midst of a laughing fit.

I Love You Call

As a sign of the times, we’ve pivoted the I Love You Call from calling random business to calling your loved ones who might need an extra boost in these trying times. Today we called listener Dave B’s friend Hillary. Hillary works with Dave B’s wife at Chuy’s, and is actually still living in Austin thanks to us. Back when she first moved here from Nashville, she was struggling to find friends and considered moving back, but our show managed to get her through the dark times. Now she’s married with two dogs and still living in Austin. If you’ve got someone you think needs some extra love these days, let us know!

If you’ve got kids here’s a good way to distract them for a while this weekend. You just need one cup vegetable oil, two tablespoons water, some food coloring and an Alka-Seltzer tablet.
