Sometimes You Fall Down

deb laying on her friends deck after breaking a rocking chair and falling down

Big news! We’re now live on your radio all the way until noon.  You can still get us on your smart home assistant listening box thing (just tell Alexa and Google to play Jason and Deb). Or you can just download the 101X app on your phone and stream us from there!  And there’s always the good old podcast.

C Of The Week

Deb was over at a friend’s house doing some social distance sitting around the pool and narrowly avoided a complete disaster. She was minding her own business, sitting in a rocking chair, when one of the legs snapped and nearly spilled Deb into a pile of huge rocks.  Luckily the only thing hurt was Deb’s pride, as it’s never a great feeling when you break a chair.  Even luckier, her friend was there to file Deb as she tried to get back up in the midst of a laughing fit.

I Love You Call

As a sign of the times, we’ve pivoted the I Love You Call from calling random business to calling your loved ones who might need an extra boost in these trying times. Today we called listener Dave B’s friend Hillary.  Hillary works with Dave B’s wife at Chuy’s, and is actually still living in Austin thanks to us.  Back when she first moved here from Nashville, she was struggling to find friends and considered moving back, but our show managed to get her through the dark times.  Now she’s married with two dogs and still living in Austin.  If you’ve got someone you think needs some extra love these days, let us know!

Which Fictional Character Is Most Like You?

We found a fun online quiz that will tell you which fictional character is the most like you.  And this isn’t some cheap Buzzfeed quiz. Plus once you’re done, you can see which character is the most like you in different fictional universes.  Maybe you got Samantha from Sex in the City like Deb did, but you want to see which Lord of the Rings character you are.  Don’t forget to tweet at us with which who you end up.

Daily Morale Boosters

If you’ve got kids here’s a good way to distract them for a while this weekend. You just need one cup vegetable oil, two tablespoons water, some food coloring and an Alka-Seltzer tablet.

While your kids are making lava lamp, here’s some fun BS conjecture for you to ponder.

Here’s a bunch of celebrities covering Weird Al’s Eat It.

If you’re like Jason and missing crawfish season (even though he just eats sausage and potatoes) this do-it-home recipe is for you. Hat tip to listener Joel for the heads up.

Daily Jason And Deb

It’s the final matchup in our Sex Bracket so we’ve left the voting open all weekend.

And, if you didn’t see it yesterday, we called Producer Katy for the I Love You call and made a cool video out of it.

Help Us Find A Forever Home For Braidy

Unfortunately Deb is having to re-home her dog Braidy.  Click through for details and pics of sweet Braidy, but let us know if you or someone you know can help.

Yesterday Deb got a sussie, or surprise, in the mail.  It was a Corkcicle wine glass, which is basically a Yeti cooler for wine.
Over the weekend Deb was in a cooking mood and decide to whip up some Tortilla Espanola this weekend.  It’s essentially a potato omelet,
