Jason Did A Dumb Thing

Big news! We’re now live on your radio all the way until noon.  You can still get us on your smart home assistant listening box thing (just tell Alexa and Google to play Jason and Deb). Or you can just download the 101X app on your phone and stream us from there!  And there’s always the good old podcast.

You’re Not Blending That Right Dummy

As part of his odyssey, Jason has been drinking protein shakes in the morning.  We jokingly refer to it as his protein “stuff” after the 9-1-1: Lonestar episode with the exploding bull semen canisters (They had to call it “bull stuff” on network TV).  He was bragging about how he finally figured out the right combination of flavor packets to use when blending up a big batch (seven parts vanilla to one part chocolate), but has also been complaining about how the lumps of undissolved globules of protein.  Deb even questioned how there are still protein globules when Jason uses a blender to make his shakes.  Well, yesterday he finally figured it out.  It seems the Dickman has been using scissors to cut open his flavor packets, and in his exuberance to do multiple packs at once, he’s been accidentally dropping little bits of the packet into his shakes. So they weren’t protein globules, but tiny pieces of paper that Jason has presumably been chugging down every morning.  We told him to ask his nutritionist if paper was allowed on his diet.

C Of The Week

Today’s C of the Week was dedicated to everyone out there complaining about having to wear masks or out-right refusing to do so.  Maybe you’ve seen the video of the people from Florida complaining to their city council about mandating mask.  Maybe you’ve just seen them in real life at your local HEB.  Either way please wear your masks.  Especially with the 4th of July coming up.  You’re not doing it because it’s fun or comfortable.  You’re doing it because it saves lives, and so we don’t have to go back to full on sheltering in place.  Wear your mask!

We Love You Frankie

As a sign of the times, we’ve pivoted the I Love You Call from calling random business to calling your loved ones who might need an extra boost in these trying times.  Today we called our former 101X promo director Frankie, who now works for Dulce Vida tequila.  Not only does Frankie have a new baby daughter to take care of, but we also found out he moved to Buda. If you’ve got someone you think needs some extra love these days, let us know!

Daily Morale Boosters

We tweeted out Jason’s instructional video on how to eat corn on the cob.  Turns out Deb has one as well, but we might have to label it NSFW.

Speaking of interesting ways to eat things. Here’s our Jason And Deb Review Things episode where Deb tries to eat a crunchy taco.

Mind. Blown.

Turns out the Ja Rule commercial for Papa Cristo’s Greek Deli is for a tv show.

This Is Not Good Video

Yesterday we recorded our #TBTwJnD about the time when we took a daily picture of Jason’s hair.  Check them out if you want to follow along as you watch.

Unfortunately Deb is having to re-home her dog Braidy.  Click through for details and pics of sweet Braidy, but let us know if you or someone you know can help.

CoronaChaos

Since donations of food from grocery stores and manufactures are way down, the Central Texas Food Bank is having to purchase way more food than usual.
