As we do every Tuesday we opened up Deb’s Diary to see what’s going on in her life, and today it’s all about hair. The other day Deb was doing some six-feet-away-from-everyone shopping at her neighborhood H-E-B and saw two people who had gross greasy hair. Now Deb has been letting things slide herself since we started sheltering-in-place. She’s off showers and just takes baths, and hasn’t really been bothering with make-up, but come on Austin. Get yourself some dry shampoo if you’re not going to wash your hair. Or are you like Jason, who doesn’t consider going to the grocery store as being “in public”? The only reason he even puts on pants when he goes shopping is to avoid an awkward living room encounter with his roommates.
Best Boyfriend Ever
In case you haven’t heard, Jason Dick has a girlfriend. We call her his Bumblina and she’s great! And since they’ve been together Jason hasn’t been shy about telling us how awesome of a boyfriend he is. He just told us yesterday about how he arraigned a special social distance brunch for her birthday since she couldn’t go out with her friends. What he didn’t tell us was that one of the gifts he got her almost ended up being garbage… literally. He wanted to get her a special kind of shampoo from Target, tried to find it, and got her a gift card instead. Unfortunately when she opened up the sleeve thingy gift cards come in it was empty! Apparently Jason managed to throw the gift card in the trash and he had to go digging. Who’s a better boyfriend than the dumpster-diving Dickman?
I Love You Call
As a sign of the times, we’ve pivoted the I Love You Call from calling random business to calling your loved ones who might need an extra boost in these trying times. Today we tried calling a listener’s loved one for the first time. We got an email from Listener Megan who wanted us to call her friend Erica who has been working from home. Turns out Erica was the one who turned Megan onto the show and it was specifically the I Love You Call that hooked her. That’s gotta mean a guaranteed I Love You for Deb, right? Mountain Dew Doritos
In move that seemed like it should have happened years ago, Doritos has come out with a Mountain Dew-flavored chip. Sadly it’s only available in Australia, but it did lead to a fun debate on the show about what is your go to chip/soda combination. Jason is totally a Mountain Dew/Doritos guy.
