Don’t Tow My Car, Bro!

Deb's car

This week Deb’s neighborhood was invaded. Google Fiber has begun its process of installation on her street. Deb lives on a culdesac so there’s not a lot of wiggle room. Earlier in the week dealt with one of their truck drivers who parked in the middle of the entryway to the street but since then it’s gotten worse! They started putting “no parking” signs on the other side of her street. After putting out the signs they started towing the people who had been parked there! It got even worse the next day when they put the signs on Deb’s side of the street. Georgie, her 1968 Buick Wildcat sits outside of her house on that side of the street so she would need to move it so it’s not towed. The only problem is that Georgie is not drivable right now. Deb had to call 311 to get more information and if they would tow her car even though she’s literally unable to move it. The 311 lady wasn’t super helpful but Deb found a little leaflet explaining they would tow cars to a lot a few blocks away but bring them back. Deb is still a little concerned but she’ll hope for the best! So that is why the mess and confusion on Deb’s street is this week’s C of the week.

Alanis Morisette Education

Deb is very excited about Alanis Morisette’s upcoming tour which is stopping in Austin! When Deb was 19 Alanis’ album “Jagged Little Pill” came out and Deb had never related to anything more when she was an angsty teen. Her love for Alanis continues today and she wanted to educate Producer Katy on the icon that is Alanis Morisette. Deb told Katy about the meanings behind each song and how Alanis was wronged by Dave Coulier. You can listen to Deb’s renditions of many Alanis songs during the 9 AM podcast!
