Jason and Deb
Deb Has A New Fluffy Friend And His Name Is George
Deb has been thinking about this for some time now, and she finally got a new fluffy friend! She had a list of requirements for Blue’s new pet cat, but George was love at first sight. On Saturday, Deb’s friend asked if she wanted to go look at some cats, and she knew it was impossible for her to “window shop” for cats, so that meant it was time. After her friend’s daughter saw kittens up for adoption on Instagram, they went to go check out the cats and there was male, black and wide, full of “tude” and outgoing, Apollo Creed. Deb’s old cat, R.I.P, was super shy, so she was looking for a new cat with some sass. Apollo climbed right up on Deb, and even had the same name as her friend’s daughter, so it had to be fate. Just to make it even more surreal, right as Deb was signing the adoption papers and changing Apollo’s name, a formerly interested guy came back, but it was too late. Deb won, and now has a cool cat called George O'Keefe.
It's A Deb Announcement: Now Introducing George O'Keefe!
THANKS WHOLY BAGEL!
As we all know, Deb has had the bagel itch since her competition, so this morning Richard Spiegel from Wholy Bagel came all the way to the station to let us try some legit Lox and some of the best bagels Texas has to offer.
If you have also got an itch for a “real bagel” like Deb, check out the Wholy Bagel shop on West William Cannon. They’re also opening a new location this winter on Far West and Hart lane! Find the menu and more information about Wholy Bagel at wholybagelatx.com.
HAJDA WHISKEY DELIVERY
Jason was hosting his mom and her friends at his pool this Sunday, and wanted them to feel right at home. So when Mama Dick mentioned to Jason that her friend liked whiskey, Jason reminded her that since the party will be Sunday, she would have to get the bottle by Saturday. At 9:10pm on Saturday, Jason got a text from his mom that said she forgot to get the bottle, so it was up to Jason to find some whiskey. Jason first tried to get a hold of Producer Nick, because he knew he always has whiskey, but he got no response. He then tried to see if Deb could save the day, and she did… almost. Jason went to Deb’s house and grabbed the “little bit” of whiskey she said she had, but it ended up being more like a dribble. Luckily for Jason, he knew Nick Hajda, because he delivered a bottle of unopened Jack Daniels in its entirety to Jason’s house right on time for the party. Nick Hajda, whiskey savior, saved the day.
DEB AND NICK’S SECRET MOVIE CLUB
Deb and Producer Nick are in a secret movie club and Jason was not invited. On Friday, Deb and Nick talked about going to see “BlacKkKlansman” and it ended up being a fantastic movie. Nick also asked Jason about the movie, but Jason wasn’t as interested and didn’t really know much about it. The movie is a comedy based on a true story, and it also featured Denzel Washington’s son, John David as the lead. Deb and Nick both agreed he did a great job in his role and was very Denzel-esque. Some of the “70’s dialogue” bothered Deb, but the final scene was so good it left Deb’s friend in tears. Jason even found himself looking at trailers over the weekend, but unfortunately he missed out. Deb rated the movie eleven out of ten. Sorry you didn’t get the invite Jason.

QUIEN ES MAS MACHO
Every Monday we test Jason’s manliness by comparing his weekend to a listener’s. Davis The Door Guy was today’s listener, and this weekend he broke a recliner having sex with his girlfriend, played disc golf, did some yard work and ended his weekend by watching some superhero movies. Jason’s weekend was filled with pool festivities, babies and quality time with Mama Dick. He started off his weekend by hosting a bachelor party for his friend Massie, then he went to go see his friend’s baby, went to a fancy Chinese with his Mom in Round Rock and partied with kids and old people at his pool on Sunday. A listener called in to vote, and she decided Davis’s weekend was definitely mas macho.
I LOVE YOU CALL
Today we called Governer’s café in Dover, Delaware to see if they had any crab cakes. They said they were open and had great crab cakes for Deb to try, but unfortunately they weren’t open to telling Deb I love You Too. Deb didn’t even get to ask Governer’s café if the restored house the restaurant was built from smelled like seafood. She got butt slammed.
