This Saturday, Dec. 15th, 101X will be bringing Tom Morello to Austin for our Indie Xmas Concert!
Thomas Morello exploded onto the music scene as the guitarist in the politically-charged rock band Rage Against The Machine. When the band broke up in 2000, Morello started collaborating with Chris Cornell and thus, Audioslave was formed.
Since the breakup of Audioslave, Morello has been involved in many projects such as The Nightwatchman and Prophets of Rage, which also features Tim Commerford and Brad Wilk of RATM.
This year, Tom Morello decided to go solo with the album The Atlas Underground. Released this past October, the album can be described as heavily experimental, with influences coming from rap, rock and EDM— a genre Morello says he was recently introduced to. Morello’s transition into new musical territory is accompanied by features from notable artists such as Steve Aoki, Portugal. The Man, Gary Clark Jr, and Marcus Mumford of Mumford & Sons.
