Formed in 2011, CHVRCHES is the Scottish synth-pop three-piece comprised of Lauren Mayberry, Iain Cook, and Martin Doherty. The group formed when Cook invited Mayberry to sing backup vocals for a project he and Doherty had been working on and the three instantly hit it off. In 2012, the group debuted its first song titled “Lies” which received immediate attention; one year later, they were signed to Glassnote Records. Since then, CHVRCHES has released three albums: The Bones of What You Believe, Every Open Eye, and their most recent, Love Is Dead.
Earlier this year, the Scottish trio teamed up with EDM maven Marshmello for the track “Here With Me” which you can listen to below. And although they aren’t hinting at a new album coming out any time soon, we are super excited to have them join us for an official 101X Concert Series show both April 28 & April 29th, sponsored by We Are Blood.
