The Strokes | The New Abnormal

The Strokes have dropped their six studio album The New Abnormal. It’s been seven years since the alternative group dropped their last album Comedown Machine. The New Abnormal comprises of nine songs, including their three singles “Brooklyn Bridge to Chorus,” “At The Door,” and “Bad Decisions.” With these strange times, The Strokes have found a way to stay connected with their fans without having to leave their home. Earlier this week the New York band premiered their “pirate radio show, podcast-thing” via Zoom called 5guys talking about things they know nothing about. Episode 1 is up and you can check it out below. The Strokes were scheduled to perform in Austin in May but due to the coronavirus pandemic, they have postponed the show. Gorillaz | Aries

The Gorillaz have released their third single this year called “Aries.” The band collaborated with Joy Division and Peter Hook from New Order. Noodle, the guitarist of Gorillaz commented about the new single saying, “Highly impatient and competitive, many Aries have the fighting spirit of your mythological ruler.” Listen to the track below!

Twenty One Pilots | Level of Concern

Twenty One Pilots have dropped a new tune called “Level of Concern.” Frontman Tyler Joseph shared a message about the band’s latest single saying, “always writing, but this one feels like it should just come out now.” The upbeat tune seems to be connected to the current situation people around the world have been undergoing during this coronavirus crisis. Many of us are at home with concerns of what’s to come. “Wonderin’ would you be my little quarantine? Or is this the way it ends?” The band also released a music video, showing at-home footage of the duo. The two go back and forth filming themselves, and share the footage with one another through a USB labeled “Level of Concern.” The new song will benefit Crew Nation, a global relief fund for live music crews who are currently out of work. Listen to it below.
