Soccer Mommy and Anderew VanWyngarden have united for a new project. Soccer Mommy created a new ‘single series’ that features collaborations from friends and artists. In this new collaboration with MGMT’s frontman, the two have taken turns covering and remixing each other’s songs. Soccer Mommy covered MGMT’s 2005 track “Indie Rockers” and VanWyngarden, who also goes by Gentle Dom, remixed Soccer Mommy’s “circle the drain.” 100 percent of the proceeds will be donated to National Bailout and Oxfam International. Gentle Dom released a statement about the new remix, “V psyched to try out adding some additional seasoning to the already tasteful sounds of Soccer Mommy.
