Foals

Foals have shared a sneak peek at what we can expect on their upcoming album Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost-Part 2 with a new song titled “Black Bull.” The album will be released October 18th via Warner and is a followup to Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost-Part 1, which was released back in March. “Black Bull” is accompanied by a music video directed by Niall O’Brien. Death Cab For Cutie

Death Cab For Cutie have announced a new album titled The Blue EP due out September 6th via Atlantic. Along with this announcement, the band also released a new single “Kids in ‘99” that pays tribute to the three children who were killed in the Olympic Pipeline Explosion in Bellingham, Washington in 1999 (while the band was living in the city). Yungblud

After some online teasing, Yungblud has finally released his new single titled “Hope For The Underrated Youth.” The song is a form of political protest—a theme that can be found in many of the 21-year old’s music. Listen to the track below. Yungblud will be coming back in Austin to play Emo’s on September 23rd; Tickets are still available for grabs! 

 

Thom Yorke

Thom Yorke has released a new EP titled Not the News Rmx which is a compilation of four new versions of the track “Not the News” which was featured on Yorke’s recent solo project ANIMA. The EP is available to stream now and will also be released on a limited edition 12”. Thom Yorke will be touring in support of his solo project beginning this fall and will make a stop at the Austin City Limits Music Festival in October.

 

The Growlers

The Growlers have announced a North American tour in support of their forthcoming album Natural Affair due out later this fall. The album follows last year’s release of Casual Acquaintances and will be released via the band’s own Beach Goth Records and Tapes. Although there are no scheduled stops in Austin, they will be stopping in nearby San Antonio, Houston, and Dallas. Along with the news, The Growlers released a new single titled “Natural Affair.” Listen to the new track below.
