The series of winter storms left millions of Texans in a crisis. With power outages, home damages, inaccessibility to clean water and hot meals, Austinites have united during this troubling time to help those in need.

UPDATE: BOIL WATER NOTICE LIFTED
- On Tuesday, February 23, Austin Water lifted the citywide boil water notice
- The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality tested the city’s tap water and passed all regulatory standards
- Tap water is now safe to drink and use for cooking

WATER DISTRIBUTION
- Supplies of water and food are being distributed to the public thanks to restaurants, local companies and disaster relief organizations.

- All sites will provide free water on a first come, first served basis
- While supplies last
- You will be asked to open your trunk or unlock vehicle doors so volunteers can place the water for you
- If you attend on foot, bring a large bag or cart to hold cases of water

The Austin Disaster Relief Network is helping those who need to take a shower or wash their laundry. They have a sign-up sheet available on their site, see availability and sign up now.
- Showers are 30 minute time slots
- Bring your own towel and toiletries
- Laundry slots are 2 hours each
