Foo Fighters set to star in horror-comedy film ‘Studio 666’

Foo Fighters are heading to the big screen.

The band will be starring in a horror-comedy film called Studio 666, and yes, they’ll be playing themselves. The storyline definitely has some twists that Grohl hopes will make you “laugh, scream, and head-bang in your popcorn.”

In the film, the rock ‘n’ roll legends settle into a Los Angeles mansion to work on their 10th studio album. What they eventually learn about the place is that they’re not alone. Supernatural forces are in attendance, leaving the album and band’s lives at stake. Coincidentally, Foo Fighters shot this in secret in the home they stayed in to record their last record. A house the band claims was actually haunted.

“We wanted to recapture the classic magic that all of our favorite rock and roll movies had, but with a twist: hilarious gore that fucking ROCKS,” said Grohl in a press release. Some of their co-stars in the upcoming film include Whitney Cummings, Leslie Grossman from American Horror Story and Jenna Ortega from YOU.

Will the band live to finalize their album? Looks like we’ll need to watch to find out!

Studio 666 hits theaters on February 25, 2022.
