It’s been ten years since Arcade Fire released their third studio album The Suburbs. Regine Chassagne and Win Butler shared a lively quarantine performance of the album’s 15th track “Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains).”

The outdoor performance was filmed for a livestream hosted by Robin Roberts of Good Morning America. The duo performed a couple of other songs in the livestream from their 2004 debut album Funeral, “The Suburbs” and “Haiti.”

“The Suburbs is 10 years old now. Can’t wait to all play music together again. Until then, stay safe and well,” wrote the group on Instagram. The caption was followed by some lyrics of “Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains).”

Back in April, the band shared some exciting news for fans to look forward to. Butler wrote that they’re working under quarantine. “Regine and I have been writing for the last couple of years, and the band was a few months into recording new material when COVID-19 hit…We had been exploring a lot of lyrical and musical themes that feel almost eerily related to what is happening now…”
