Green Day | Pollyanna

Surprise! Green Day have returned with a brand new single called “Pollyanna.” The new material comes after the rock group teased a track on social media earlier this week. Coldplay | Higher Power

Coldplay have released a new single called “Higher Power.” The latest material follows their 2019 LP Everyday Life.

Leading up to the release, Coldplay consistently teased an upcoming project titled “Alien Radio” along with some interesting symbols. Fans eventually decoded the hidden message: a new song called “Higher Power” was on the way.

The UK band switched it up when it came to premiering the track, uniquely launching it from the International Space Station. The group connected with Thomas Pesquet, a French European Astronaut Centre astronaut and the mission commander on the ISS, to broadcast Coldplay’s performance from space. Check it out below.

Weezer | Van Weezer

Van Weezer is officially here!

The band’s 15th studio album was initially set to be out in 2020 during their Hella Mega Tour with Green Day and Fall Out Boy, however the pandemic postponed all of that. Instead, Weezer dropped two albums in one year. Their first-ever orchestral album OK, Human hit platforms only four months ago.

The latest LP comprises 10 tracks, four of those are the band’s early singles “Hero,” “The End of the Game,” “Beginning of the End,” and “I Need Some of That.” Stream Van Weezer below.

Dayglow | Balcony

Sloan Struble, known as Dayglow, has shared a new track from his upcoming album Harmony House. “Balcony” is the third song we’ve heard from the Texas artist’s sophomore album, which arrives on May 21.

“I wrote Balcony quite a while ago, but it’s been through tons of phases & revisions before landing on this final version. I wanted to make a song that felt like The Cure, Broncho, and the Mario Kart Soundtrack huddled up. Not sure why— it just feels nice,” wrote Struble about his latest material.

The 21-year-old musician released his past two singles “Woah Man” and “Something” back in April and February. Dayglow’s set to go on tour this year and is scheduled for a show at Stubb’s on September 10. We’ll be giving away tickets to his show on air so be sure to keep an eye out on our social media to find out when.

Stream “Balcony”  below.

Modest Mouse | We Are Between

A new album is on the way from Modest Mouse and we’ve been a given a sneak peek of what’s to come. The band shared their new single called “We Are Between” from their forthcoming album The Golden Casket.

Their latest work follows their 2015 album Strangers to Ourselves and in 2019, the band released three singles that left many pondering whether a potential LP was on the way. However, it appears that “Ice Cream Party,” “Poison the Well,” and “I’m Still Here” will not be included in the group’s new album.

The Golden Casket hits streaming platforms on June 25.

Joywave | Every Window Is A Mirror

Joywave have shared the title track from their upcoming EP Every Window Is A Mirror. This follows their 2020 album Possession.

In a press release, frontman Daniel Armbruster said their new single centers on ones lack of consideration to someone else’s personal experiences. “Despite our best efforts, we’re still bound by our bodies, class, upbringings, etc. You may think you’re looking out the window, but you’re still standing in a house somewhere fogging up the glass.”

The new EP arrives on June 25. Stream the title track below.
