Elder Oasis Gallagher Returns! The Best New British Alternative From This Week’s UKTX

Noel Gallagher teased us with a new demo way back at the top of the year, suggesting more new things would be coming soon. A full ten months later, Halloween brought “Pretty Boy”, and the promise of a new LP in ’23.  The new one pays tribute to The Chief’s Manchester musical roots–the Smiths-like jangle actually comes courtesy of Johnny Marr; Peter Hook doesn’t play the bass line, but he could’ve.  Check out the lyric video below, and collect extra points if you can catch a glimpse of Noel himself:

Elsewhere, The Mysterines play Stubbs tonight. A reminder of their awesomeness is included on the latest UKTX. Beabadoobee does Emos Tuesday (I won’t provide a link, as that one apparently sold out on Saturday)–her latest is included here, too. Press play below the playlist!
