Netflix Is Testing Video Promos That Play In Between Episodes

Netflix is testing video promos that play in between episodes. The promos are personalized to the user, and preview information for the episode up next, and display the thumbnails that previously appeared on the right side of the screen.

The test was first spotted by a Reddit thread filled with complaints. The introduction of promos in between the episodes is part of one of the tests Netflix runs every year, many of which are focused on how to better promote Netflix’s original programming to its customers.

This test is currently active for a small percentage of Netflix users. Unlike prior tests, the promos are only to feature Netflix original content.

KEVIN SPACEY’S NEW MOVIE FLOPS OPENING WEEKEND

Kevin Spacey’s newest movie since he was accused of sexual misconduct, ‘Billionaire Boys Club’, was released in theatres last weekend and only earned one-hundred and twenty-six dollars on opening day.

“Billionaire Boys Club” was released on premium video on demand last month, which means it was never likely to max any box office records anyways.

The movie only opened in eight theatres across the U.S, and the total made for its entire opening weekend was four-hundred and twenty-five dollars. This also marked the lowest opening weekend of Spacey’s career, and “Billionaire Boys Club” received the Rotten Tomatoes score of a low thirteen percent.

DEB’S “THE MEG” REVIEW

Although “The Meg” has earned twenty-one-point-five million dollars on its second weekend, giving it second place at the box office, Deb gives the movie two thumbs down. Deb went to go check out the movie with some friends this weekend, and after seeing the trailer they thought it would be similar to the 1999 Fantasy-film “Deep Blue Sea”. Turns out, the movie is not “funny dumb”, it is just plain dumb. Even with a hot-body shirtless swimming scene, Deb still doesn’t think the movie is worth seeing. Deb and friends “got, got”. Although, the movie is currently second place at the box office, so check out the trailer for yourself and see what you think.
