After 12 years under the guidance of Andy Langer, 101X is ushering in a new era for the Next Big Thing with Austin Chronicle music columnist Austin Powell. The format of the show is the same: four hours of new and local music every Sunday night, rain or shine, from 6-10pm. The weekly playlists are still posted the following Monday morning after each show, and you can check out new additions to the program at 101X’s iTunes music store. Think of this then as the Next Big Thing version 2.0, cutting-edge music from the blogosphere and beyond. This show is dedicated to pushing boundaries and sharing the one thing that unites us all.
