You Gotta Swish It Like Mouthwash

Matt Shook from Juiceland Austin joined us in studio today. Besides some delicious smoothies, Matt brought with him some wheatgrass shots. If you've not had one of these pungent shooters, you've not lived, although judging from Jason's reaction he might not agree. Check out the video below to see all of our reactions! While you're at it, why don't you take part in the Juiceland Wheatgrass Challenge

Jason had his first alternative softball league game yesterday and... it didn't go so well. Apparently there are people that take this league seriously. Jason's performance was less than legendary and the Bookpeople team won. One thing's for certain, Jason is the best 300+lb softball player that we know at the moment. That's good right?

We want your mom to get something awesome for having to put up with you all these years. So we're having moms and their children play our version of the Newlywed Game that we cleverly call The Newly-Mommed Game. You can get all the details on the contest and how you can enter your mom here. Today we were joined in studio by Nicole and her mom Alice on the phone. The pair were quizzed about their weight, alcohol preferences, work experience and virginity. With only 2 out of 5 questions answered correctly, they aren’t eligible for the grand prize, BUT just for playing today, Nicole and Alice received a 1-hr Massage from Massage Envy and a $50 giftcard from Pro Flowers. Thanks for playing and have a great Mother’s Day!

Twitter is a weird and wonderful place, although much of the time it’s wonderfully terrible. In the twitter game, Jason, Deb, and a listener guess who tweeted what. As long as the listener doesn’t come last, they’ll win tickets. Today, listener Christie was playing for tickets to go see the sold-out Of Monsters and Men show playing at Stubb’s BBQ on Monday, June 3rd. Our tweeters today are all dudes who have released solo albums in the last month, Will.I.Am, Tyler, the Creator, and Brad Paisley. Unfortunately for listener Christie, she didn't beat either Jason or Deb, so caller X got the tickets. Listen in for more chances to win tickets to Of Monsters and Men as well as tons of other great shows. Check them out and get your tickets on the 101X Concerts Page!

As you may know, Deb's boyfriend has moved in with Deb while inbetween homes and the experience thus far hasn't been the smoothest. The couple have already had agreed upon days when they won't hang or see each other so that they can maintain their own space but now that they're living together this is a little trickier. Yesterday was a "no-hangout" night, but when Deb came home, they were together but separate. This stalemate couldn't last though and they accepted that they could be together and still do their own thing without freaking out. Deb does still have a few complaints, mostly about her boyfriend getting the house all messy, but he edge the lawn so... he can stay for now.

In this segment we talk about something that should be a thing but isn't yet a thing, as far as we know. Like the flying car. Today, Jason wasn't sure if there was a solution to his problem, but thought that it needed to be addressed anyway. What's with birds pooping on our cars? Seriously?! Can we do something to prevent it from happening or make it so it just won't stick? Deb just spent $50 getting her car cleaned and now it’s gonna rain for 3 days which will get it all dirty again. Scientists, smart people, get on this, we need a dirt, poop, and water resistant film to save our cars from this travesty.

We're all about supporting animal charities and bringing you the happiness of animals in your own home.  So you should check out our friends at Love-A-Bull, who are currently looking for a home for Jack Blac, who promises to be at least as funny as his namesake. He's great with people and other dogs.  Give him and the other adopt-a-bulls a look here.

At 8:50 Deb calls a random business and tries to get the person answering the phone to say, “I love you.” Today we called Branson Nursery & Florist in Missouri. On the phone, Joyce gave Deb all the help she needed, but the thing Deb needed most was not on offer and Deb gets buttslammed.

Every day we “trivialize” Deb by asking her quiz questions, then laughing when she doesn’t know the answers. Today we quized Deb on her "Classic Arcade Games like Snake" trivia. Listener Joseph played the game perfectly and won a pair of tickets to see Iron Man 3. Congratulations Joseph!

Charles Ramsey, the man lauded with helping Amanda Berry and two other women escape from the house they had been imprisoned in for 10 years, turns out to have been convicted of multiple counts of domestic violence. Adding insult to injury, Ramsey may also be a liar. Family members doubt his story, and news of another man being responsible for kicking in the door has been reported. Whether these revelations lessen the value of his actions is unclear, but the sponsorship deals and endorsements are likely to dry up.

A Giant African Snail has been found in Houston. What the…?! Officials say if you spot one to avoid touching it and report it to animal services. According to Lori Williams, the executive director of the National Invasive Species Council, the snail “harbors a deadly parasite known as rat lungworm, which is a form of meningitis.” The snail can grow to 8 inches in length, weigh up to 2lbs and its shell can be as large as a softball! It has been known to munch its way through stucco, plastic recycling bins, signs and more than 500 species of plants. Furthermore, its shell is so hard and sharp that it can blow out car tires if run over. Watch out Houston! An outbreak in Florida in the 60s cost the state more than $1 million! And the picture to the right is not photoshopped, it’s really that big. Oh yeah, and these bad boys can lay up to 1200 eggs a year.

Elizabeth Sprower aka model Victoria James was fired from her teacher position after sexy modeling photos were discovered. Not cool.

The Golden State Warriors managed to hold off the San Antonio Spurs in the second game of round 2 of the NBA playoffs. The Spurs rallied near the end of the game, but it was too little too late with the final score settling at 100-91 in favor of the Warriors. The Warriors’ Klay Thompson impressed viewers, scoring a career-high 34 points and 14 rebounds.

The Miami Heat beat the Chicago Bulls 115-78, a record for both teams. The 37 point difference is the greatest margin of victory for the Heat and the greatest margin of defeat for the Bulls.

Jacksonville Jaguars’ fans say “we don’t want you, Tim Tebow.”
