DEB'S DIARY:
Tuesday we check in with Deb to see what its like as a hot British chick living in Texas. Today she spoke about something that has been driving her mad lately. She hates the “loud talkers”. You know those people who will get on their cell phones and speak loudly about their business with no regard for their surroundings. Last week our bus driver on the Bud Light Party Cruise was one of these people. He was on his phone while driving after he got pulled over and issued a ticket. He was talking to some lady about nothing. Another loud talker was at the airport on the phone. She was fighting with her man so loudly that Deb and Cassandra felt involved in the fight. Listener John called in to tell us about his dad who is a little bit of a racist and a loud talker at the same time. He gets so embarrassed about the things his dad will say. Listener Phillip called in to tell us about his co-worker in the next cubicle who talks loud while on the phone and eating. Another guy smokes so much that he coughs all day. DEB’S RESTAURANT WOES:
Yesterday Deb went to eat with her man and his little girl at a restaurant. It was pretty early for dinner, but she wasn’t feeling well so she needed to go home early. They noticed there weren’t many people in the parking lot. They walked to the front door and it took them a while to get the door to work. They sat in the waiting area and didn’t even see a single person there. Deb immediately started feeling scared and a bit uncomfortable. She started having a bit of an anxiety attack and made her man run out of the restaurant with her. Is that wrong? Should she have run out like that before even trying it out? There was no one eating in the place either. It was 5pm, so maybe they were between shifts. No one has dinner that early anyways. When it comes to food, we all agreed that it is better to be safe than sorry.
BLUE OCTOBER SING ALONG:
Today we had tickets to see Blue October at Stubbs. They canceled their tour because Justin has been having mental health problems, but they are still coming to Austin! We wanted to give the tickets to a huge fan, so we played the sing-along game. The listener contestant has to finish the lyrics to win the tickets. Colin called in to play. Colin has been a fan since 1998. He was probably the best contestant that has ever played this game. He knew all the new popular songs, of course. We had to pull a hard old one out of the vault, and he knew that one perfectly as well! Colin even had a great voice to go along with the game. Congrats Colin! He definitely deserved these tickets!
YOU GOT BUTT SLAMMED:
We had extra tickets to see Rob Zombie so we decided to play another edition of “You Got Butt Slammed”. We line up 4 people on the phone and go down the list to ask them to butt slam a line. Listener Joey butt slammed Robert who was on line 3. It came down to line 1 and 4 in the end. Listener Tom was the winner today! It was the first time that someone hasn’t butt slammed themselves. YAY!
I LOVE YOU CALL:
Every day we call a random business to spread the love around Austin. Deb has had a 12% success rate. She gets about 2 “I Love You” replies a month. Today we were feeling for Jason because it is his 2 year anniversary so we wanted to call the UT mental health counseling hotline. Cassandra called them off air and they answered, we called them on air but the line was busy. We finally got a hold of them and the lady was a bit put off when she found out Deb wasn’t a student. Deb told the lady that her co-worker is in denial about his divorce. She wanted some advice on how to handle him. The lady didn’t care. She didn’t give Deb any love either.
THE QUIZ:
Every day we ask Deb some football questions to try and teach her the game of football. Deb didn’t know the name of Jordan Shipley’s song that he wrote, but she did know the Horns have won 8 games and lost 0. She also knew what “down and distance” meant. It means the team is on its 1st attempt with 10 yards to go. Congrats to Chris who won tickets to Cage the Elephant today!
REWIND:
Every day we call a random business in Austin to spread the love. Yesterday we called 24 Hour Door Repair. Deb was wondering if they get a lot of calls from drunken broken door problems. The guy said they do get a bunch of stupid people repairs. She said a guy the size of an elephant busted through her door. John was amazing to talk to! Deb finally told him she loves him about 7 times, but he did not return the love. John ended up calling back to tell Deb he loved her!
NEWS:
Willis Willis the guy who had his lottery ticket stolen by a clerk will not get his money back. Willis is an old man who couldn’t read his tickets because he has bad eyes, so he had the store clerk check them for him.
114 animals died in a fire at an animal shelter in Killeen. The shelter needs all the help, money, food and resources they can get. If you want to help call 254-338-7033 for more information.

In England women are now allowed to be Beefeaters! They get to live on the grounds of the Tower of London. We decided we needed a Beefeater here on the MorningX, so we appointed Nick, Other Guy intern, as the MorningX Beefeater.
Jay Leno is a jack ass and now wants his old job back from Conan O’Brien. He said he would have preferred to stay at 11:30pm.
Mel Gibson had a baby girl with his girlfriend. It is his 8th child and he is still married to his wife of 28 years.
SPORTS:
World Series Game #5 was last night. The Phillies won the game 8 to 6 over the Yankees. Game 6 will be in New York. Chase Utley tied Reggie Jackson for the most homeruns in a World Series. If he keeps going he will hold the record.
Drew Brees and the Saints beat the Atlanta Falcons last night. The Saints are undefeated and have the easiest schedule left in the league.
Andre Agassi’s new autobiography not only used to do the Crystal Meth, but he also used to wear a wig.
Gilbert Brown said he would fart on Brett Favre if he got the chance to tackle him during the game.
