"It’s 2014 - I shouldn’t have to go to Round Rock ever again."

GODFREY IN-STUDIO:

Even though comedian Godfrey was busy playing Candy Crush Saga, he gave his best impersonation of his friend in college named Martin Luther King, as well as his best German accent: “unttt.” Sounds like techno music. Godfrey will be performing at Moontower Comedy Fest this weekend. To hear his uncensored segment on the show, check out the This Is Not Good Radio podcast here.

SPAM EMAIL UPDATE:

Deb got another email from Susan Smith. Susan needs Deb’s help retrieving a fund and is even willing to offer her 30% off the fund. Once Deb helps her retrieve the fund, Susan will come over to continue her education. Susan even referred to Deb as her mother. Looks like the news it out that Deb has a 22-year-old daughter.

Rediscovering The Early 2000s!

Posted 4/23/2014 9:47:00 AM

DONUTS:

We certainly don't deserve free things, but we keep getting them.  Local musician Max Frost sent us some Round Rock Donuts today.  Even Deb knew you can't resist eating one of those.  Thanks, Max!

DEB FOUND THE EARLY 2000s:

descriptionDeb was cleaning out her garage yesterday and discovered all of the clothes she wore in the early 2000s. She found everything from snakeskin, backless dresses, to kneck-to-knee button-down shirts. Should Deb keep them, maybe to wear to flashback parties down the road?  Or does that make her a hoarder?

DUMB QUESTION ANMESTY:

If you want to ask a question without fear of people laughing, all you have to do is put “Dumb Question Amnesty” in front of it. Today Jason was wondering about the logic behind whenever a character in Breaking Bad tears his phone in half. What's the point? Jason asked, “if you break a cell phone, does ...

Help Deb Paddleboard for a Good Cause

Posted 4/23/2014 8:05:00 AM

Deb needs your help to help others.

Introducing Tyler's Dam That Cancer. What is it? It's kind of like a marathon that benefits a good cause...a marathon on water.

Dam That Caner is a fundraising event, but a better description might be "21-mile stand-up paddle and party." A bunch of hardcore paddleboarders get a chance to go across the ENTIRE length of Lake Austin if they can raise $2,000. All the proceeds go to the Flatwater Foundation, a non-profit that provides services for those who have been affected by friends or familes dealing with cancer.

The Flatwater Foundation from Dam That Cancer on Vimeo.

But Deb needs your help. She has to raise $2,000 in order to participate. Donate to the Flatwater Foundation through her profile and she can paddleboard for 21 miles....in a swimsuit...yeah. Who doesn't want to see Deb do that?

Deb's Got the Termites

DOG QUESTION:

Deb has a question for dog owners. She yet again wants a new car, but this time she wants an actual car. However, she is concerned about the comfort of her dog. So she asked listeners, “How well does your dog like regular cars?” Listeners responded that their medium-sized dogs fit nicely in their cars and even enjoy it. Today, Deb will take another test drive in a car at Austin Infiniti and luckily for her, they let her dog Blue come along for the ride. Maybe Deb will trade in her mom car for something more age-appropriate?

DEB'S DIARY:

Tuesdays we take a peek into Deb’s Diary to see what it’s like to be a hot, British chick living in Austin. Last week, Deb thought that she may be having some personal issues. She had seen the symptoms and even called an expert. And, it’s official. Deb ...

Deb doesn't understand pie.

PRODUCER NICK CELEBRATES 4/20:

We were a little surprised that Producer Nick was here today; we figured he was going to take it off to observe his favorite holiday, but he wanted to tell us all about his experience. Nick had a little too much fun (to treat his glaucoma, of course), and got locked in the kitchen, came up with a pitch for a movie, and got totally lost in his own house all for 4/20’s sake. It really is a magical holiday.

WHAT'S THE DEAL WITH PIE?:

descriptionWe found out today that Deb has some very strong feelings about pie.  She spoke at length about how she doens't know anyone who eats pie anymore, or why people even like pie in the first place. We proceeded to open up the phone lines to try and have listeners convince Deb that pies are amazing. Vote in the poll to the ...
