12/11/2013 11:32:00 AM
Earlier this week, I suggested the music-meets-food series "Culinary Beats" was going to find a home on The Food Channel. Turns out it's found an online home on Yahoo!, featuring sit-downs with notable chefs and Columbia Records artists St. Lucia, The Fray, and more--including Passion Pit's Michael Angelakos. Michael talks shop with pal Nick Anderer of Manhattan eatery Maialino here.

The Killers recently rolled out their annual Christmas single--perhaps their last, considering questions floating around about the band's future. "Christmas In L.A." features a collaboration with the SoCal Americana outfit Dawes, and comes complete with a video produced by BYU animation students and starring Owen Wilson. Check it out below, and see the previous couple of Killers Christmas singles here. Proceeds from the purchase of "Christmas In L.A." benefit RED's efforts to fight AIDS in Africa.

U2 Releases Mandela Biopic Song + Lyric Video
11/22/2013 11:43:00 AM
Last night, U2 rolled out "Ordinary Love", which we'd only heard bits of in the trailer for Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom. We'll be able to buy "Ordinary Love" next Friday on Record Store Day, but only if we're lucky--only 10,000 copies of the 10" special vinyl release are going to be made available. U2's thirteenth studio album is apparently due in April, with talk that a big marketing push might start with a Super Bowl ad in the big game broadcast 2/2.
