After taking October off, Homegrown Live is back with a bang! Here are the details on our next show, which features a bill stacked with six bands on two stages. It'll go down Friday, Nov. 15th at 29th St. Ballroom (a.k.a. Spiderhouse).

Whiite Walls

Website

In 2011 there was this super fun band called Rickey Jean Francios. When they stopped playing there was a hole in our hearts that could not be filled. Until this year! When a few of those members got back together to form Whiite Walls. Our first introduction to their new formation was on stage at The Moody Theater, opening up for Empire of the Sun. A new EP is in the works and we are excited to introduce to you Whiite Walls. Enjoy.

The Mole People

Website

"The Mole People describe themselves as 'psych punk,' and it's a fitting label for a band that mixes 'Nuggets' melodies with hardcore energy served on stage with a generous dose of sweat. A rhythm section with equal parts swing and fuzz gives them the forward drive of a sweet hot-rod, but there's also an odd romanticism to their greasy crooning that lends a demented 50's doo-wop element. They could play the house band in a drive-in movie about nuclear teenagers attacking the prom. Equally at home covering the Misfits as a 60's flower-power side, they're a rare Austin garage band that brings other elements to the table."

Borrisokane

Website

Borrisokane have lips that hesitate & hips that shimmy shake. The Austin Chronicle touts that "Borrisokane skitter from esoteric to cacophonous as they ride the curl between post-punk and synth-pop."

Isaiah The Mosaic

Website

Isaiah The Mosaic are a five piece band from Austin, Texas. If you like Tame Impala, Pink Floyd, Broadcast, early Genesis or super rad visuals, then you will like this band. Members Eric McClung, Philip McClung, Ryan Heath, Tyler DeLaune, and Brandon Mallonee have been friends since high school. The band formed in 2011 and signed a record deal with River Jones Music / Craftpop in 2013 for their first EP “Systems”. The band just launched a kickstarter campaign (which you can check out here) for their first full length album and are busy preparing for SXSW 2014. Seriously-these guys are good.
