We're fans The Wolf and know as soon as you hear them, you will be too. With elements of garage, surf and psych, these guys were an excellent addition to April's Austin Psych Fest lineup. In February they released their second LP "Strange Flowers". Stream below.
Tele Novella is a feel good garage rock band consisting of members from Belaire and Agent Ribbons. The four-piece band includes Natalie Ribbons, Jason Chronis, Cari Palazzolo, and Matt Simon. Natalie Ribbons gathered the three band mates two weeks before SXSW to play their first show during the festival. The band’s forthcoming first vinyl, “Don’t Be a Stranger”, is expected to be released this summer (have a preview below). Currently on a west coast tour, tonight we welcome them home!
Daniel Francis Doyle
Daniel Francis Doyle is a pop-rock composer from Austin Texas. Live performances consist of train-wreck drumming coupled with endless lists of complaints shouted into his microphone headset, all while attempting to manipulate live guitar loops and feedback to chug along at the same pace.
Two recordings have been released: “…Sings Blues in E”, self-released in 2005 and “Who Are Your Customers”, released on Furniture Records.
Borrisokane think of themselves as an instrumental band with vocals. They play tight, orchestrated electro-pop all over Austin, Texas. The five-piece band, including Derek Asuan-O’Brien, Josh Denslow, Rebecca Asuan-O’Brien, Ryker Brown, and Mars Wright, recently released their second EP May 14th. Despite bouncy keyboard lines and skittering Afro-pop guitar, the first salvo on "Murdering Teeth" comes grounded in gloom. Listen below.
