Bobby Jealousy

Bobby Jealousy is an indie-pop band from Austin, Texas that was recently added to KUT’s 12 Bands to Watch in 2012. The band was created in July 2011 by its five talented members, Mark Stoney, Sabrina Ellis, Seth Gibbs, and Adam Harlow. Bobby Jealousy’s first album titled “A Little Death” was released on February 18, 2012. Kevin Curtin from Austin Chronicle is quoted saying, “Bobby Jealousy is summer vacation” and DJ Laurie Gallardo from KUT says, “There is something irresistible about a band that takes on the subject matter of relationships and puts it to you tongue-in-cheek”.

La Migra

La Migra is a self-described “garage surf” band that was founded by Andy Anderson and Phillip Whaley, two longtime friends and roommates. Anderson is all charisma while Whaley rocks the lead guitar. The two newest members, Casey Beans and Phil Dunne round out this energetic and exciting band that is gaining momentum by playing at many different venues and events around Austin. They recently claimed some recognition by performing with bands like Japanther, The Growlers, and Christian Bland (Black Angels).

Little Radar

Austin-based quartet Little Radar spans multiple genres interlacing indie rock licks with folk, layered with upbeat chord progressions, summery prog-psych, and textured melodies. Comprised of Sean Hale, Trevor Hale, Grant Himmler and Derek Woodruff, the band comes from very different backgrounds ranging from parent-taught guitar lessons outside art shows in Greenville, Texas in the early 90s to studying at Berklee College of Music. After ending up in Austin and running into each other by chance at various local shows around town, the guys decided to start making music, recording their first EP in a living room. Their debut album, Up in Arms was just released on April 29, 2012.
