It’s time to celebrate the great city of Austin at the 11th annual Keep Austin Weird Festival & 5K! Come check out the one-of-a-kind weirdness of Texas’ capital city, ranging from psychedelic music to local artisans and even a 5K race that will be sure to leave you wondering why it’s even been called a race. Bands will be rockin’ out, putting out the groovy vibes at the festival and vendors will be serving up tasty bites while we have the privilege of soaking it all in.
More than 6,000 are expected to flock to the 11th annual event on June 22 from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m., to enjoy live music, local artisan craft vendors and a multitude of iconic eateries that embody the spirit of Austin culture. As always, the Festival gives musicians and fans alike a chance to truly experience the Live Music Capital of the World. In addition, both residents and visitors get a true taste of Austin culture all on the grounds of the Long Performing Arts Center. The Festival isn’t the only part of the day that participants get an insider’s experience of Austin living. Costumed runners and walkers will bring their wackiness to the streets of Austin in the Keep Austin Weird 5K, taking place at 7 p.m., before headliner Shiny Toy Guns.
Registration for the Keep Austin Weird Festival & 5K is $47.50 (this includes a 5K entry, festival pass and T-shirt). The Kids’ 5K registration is $20, which includes a festival pass and T-shirt.
