The Flaming Lips are set to release a new LP just for Record Store Day, which occurs later this month. The Flamings Lips and Heady Fwends is the name of the new project that teams the Lips up with artists like Chris Martin, Nick Cave, Neon Indian, Ke$ha, Eryka Badu, and Bon Iver. Today's catch is called "Ashes In the Air", and features the vocal talents of Grammy Award Winner, Bon Iver, and is a extremely trippy track that runs a little over 6 minutes. Of course when we are talking about The Flaming Lips, you have to expect something bizarre to come out of this. Well, if you are to buy the rare vinyl LP, then you can expect to get blood from several of the guests artists (and the Lips) somehow worked into the packaging.
