(3/07/10) Monty's Catch of the Day - The Golden Filter

The Golden Filter dazzled many at last year's SXSW, and they are on their way back. However, they are coming armed with new material from their upcoming LP entitled Voluspa. Now if you are not familiar with The Golden Filter, then it's probably time you need to. The duo is part Australian, and part American (Ohio to be exact), but currently reside in New York. Their sound is very similar to a Saint Etienne vs. Goldfrapp, with enough energy to power up a city. Voluspa is their first project in over a year, and hits store on April 26th. Today's catch is the first single efrom the album entitled "Hide Me". You can listen to a clip above. Enjoy!
