SXSW Artist of the Day: Chromeo
Do you feel the need? The need for electrofunk?
Well, awesome. Because Chillville artist Chromeo is going to be hitting up SXSW and they might be just what the doctor ordered.
The Canadian duo who are so 80's it hurts will be playing at some point (because the exact time hasn't been announced yet), so if you have a music/platinum badge or a music festival/artist wristband, be sure not to miss them!
For now though, jam to Chromeo's collab with Toro y Moi, "Come Alive." You'll swear you're watching a Lionel Richie video. Except there's a red leather jacket (Thriller, anyone?). Basically, it's irresistible.
And if you need further proof of awesomeness, check out Chromeo's synth-tastic cover of the Eagles' "I Can't Tell You Why":
We're really excited about SXSW so we'll have a bunch of blog posts and videos coming your way. So keep checking back in with the 101X SXSW page and look us up on Facebook and Twitter. We'll also be broadcasting live from downtown during SXSW with all sorts of interviews and performances that are free to the public!
