A few tips to get the most out of SXSW
Just because you're having a ton of fun this SXSW doesn't mean you have to throw logic out the window. So we're rounding up some tips to help get you through the SXSW marathon unscathed. OK, at least a little bit unscathed.
With thousands infiltrating the Austin city limits, there are tons of great people to network with. Put the smartphone away clustered with e-mails and work voicemails and reserve a SXSW locker space. Unload your bag or coat or charge your cell phone in the locker. There are no restrictions on the number of times you can drop your belongings off or pick them back up. Reserve your SXSW locker space early (located on 2nd and Trinity) and get to networking.
Also, be advised of several road closures downtown March 8-17. Sixth Street will only allow commuter traffic from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. each weekday and on the first weekend. Sixth Street will shut down completely on March 16. Fourth, fifth and seventh streets will be open until March 10. To reduce stress and anxiety, the city suggests navigating through the festival on 11th and 15th streets.
