What's Your Ireland?
Next Saturday, my little brother James will be marrying his lovely girlfriend Bev. I'm very excited for their union, and of course, the opportunity to spend time with all of mine and Bev's family in a lovely happy environment. While I'm home, I'm going to do a little touring of my home nation. You guys may find this hard to believe, but although I've been all over England, the United States, Central America, Canada, Europe and even Asia, I've never stepped foot in either Scotland or Ireland, the nations that are actually part of my Great Britain. How? I hear you all cry! Well I sort of wonder that myself. I suppose it's because when I was younger and living in England, the last thing I could think of in terms of vacations, was one in dreary Great Britain. I wanted the sun! And sand! And exotic people and places! Not people speaking a weird version of my own language and lots of rain. But now that I'm older and live in a gorgeous sunny place and can appreciate the history and beauty of my home nation, that's where I'm headed. Still, I feel a little bit like a loser that I've never been to these places before...
