It's good to be friends...
I had a bit of a weird day yesterday. As you know, my insurance company finally decided to do the right thing and write my car off. It looks like I will be better off taking the money rather than keeping the car, but now I need a new one. I wasn't ready to make this type of decision on my own as my mind is still a little bit soft, so I decided to call on some help I could trust. And, taking a little trip down memory lane, looking in the most logical place: I called my ex husband, the car guy. Yes, I know, WTF mate? you're thinking, she was married? Yeah - I know, it's weird, (I said that didn't I?) but we're really cool now. Get this - it's even weirder - if we were still married, this October would have been our 10th anniversary!! That definitely deserves a WTF mate! Now I'm not going to paint this rosy picture of our relationship, obviously it didn't go quite to plan did it, but I was with him for three years, we had some great times, and he's my oldest friend in this country. That practically makes him family! Talking of family, he's got an awesome one now - he's married to the sweetest, most beautiful lady that I could ever wish for him, and he's got four gorgeous children. Yeah - four! WTF? Again. I'm so happy for him, as he's happy, successful and in a really good place. Anyway, I was thinking about it all, and even though my life is all upside down and pretty rubbish right now, I'm grateful that my ex and I are on really good terms and that his life is full. After all, I know plenty of people who'd like to have their exes knocked off. So thanks for the memories Kyle, and don't try and rip me off on that used 4-Runner - I know all your tricks remember?... :)
