I think it’s about time we address a serious issue that many people seem to be sweeping carelessly under the carpet. To so many, this issue is just part of the fabric of our society, but to others, including myself, it’s a real, legitimate, serious problem. Let talk about gambling. I feel that the odd “oh I bet you $22 you can’t do X” or “hey, I wager you one beer that the Cowboys win today” type of bet isn’t really the problem that is dividing friendships, pitting co-workers against each other and ruining relationships. No – it’s the incessant checking of fantasy football stats and warring with everyone in your league, that bugs the S out of me. The very absolute worst thing about the combination of sports and gambling nowadays is the fact that you are rooting against your own actual football team you’ve supported since childhood, and players that you’ve historically loved, just because you weren’t lucky enough to draft them on your fantasy football team. Look, basically this whole fantasy football thing is getting out of hand. I’m sure I speak for a lot of women in the world here. But more specifically, Jason and Nick, I wish I never had to hear another second of your ridiculous bickering about fantasy football ever again...
