It looks like it’s that time of year when I’m supposed to be all excited about Christmas and such. A couple of my neighbours have strings and string of lights pinned up outside and last night of Facebook I saw some pictures of my next door neighbour’s beautiful Christmas trees and decorations. Yeah, you heard me, TREES. Not one, but three. And as usual, my house sits in darkness. I’ve got a tree up in the attic I think, and I’m pretty sure I’ve got tons of lights, but I’m trying to work out the odds. Is the work up front in putting up the tree and lights and decorations, then on the back end of taking them down and putting them back up in the attic, actually worth the enjoyment I’ll get out of them? And how about if I don’t do a very good job with the lights outside. Then all my neighbours will laugh at me! I know I’m famously a bit of a Grinch around this time of year, with my family abroad and the fact that I usually go there and celebrate, but unlike most Christmases, I’ll be staying here this year, so I’ve been thinking it may actually be cool to go and buy a real tree. I’ve never had one before! But again, is all the work up friend, and the maintenance of a real tree and then the disposal of it (I have no idea how to do that btw) really worth it? Also, will my pets try and pee up the real tree????
