Allergies

Dear Diary

Later on this week, I have a doctor’s appointment.  You remember when I got back from my holiday I wasn’t feeling well. Over the next two weeks I suffered every ailment you can imagine. The worst of it was the 4 day headache and worsened asthma symptoms. Everyone kept saying “oh it’s allergies – it’s that time of year!” But when I was allergy tested 7 years ago, I didn’t have any of the ones that make your eyes water and face itch that Alex complains about all the time. I’m lucky to only be allergic to dust mites and cats. I say lucky but owning a cat that I’m allergic to probably doesn’t help. Anyway, as my asthma has been bad the last few months I thought I’d go back to the allergist and see if anything’s changed. I have heard that many people develop allergies when they’ve lived in Austin a while. I’m hoping I haven’t but if I have, I can at least start to do something about it. While they’re testing me for allergens, they’re going to test me for food allergies as well. Now that is exciting! Wish me luck as I’m about to be a human pin cushion…
