Frances Bean Cobain Shares Plans to Release Her Own Music

Last week on the anniversary of her father's passing, Frances Bean Cobain made the headlines of every major music publication when she shared a short snippet of herself playing and singing a song that she wrote on Instagram. Anxious to hear original music from the daughter of grunge icons Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love, the music world collectively lost its mind when her video surfaced and it may have freaked her out a bit: after it started getting attention she quickly deleted it from her Instagram page, leading fans to wonder if she has intentions to release music in the future, or not.

Now she's putting the rumors to rest, and speaking out about the deleted video and her creative plans in a quick chat with an E! News reporter on the red carpet of last night's Daily Front Row Fashion Awards. Cobain shared, "With regards to music, I don't want to pigeonhole myself and say I am a musician or a visual artist because I feel like it's all-encompassing and I feel like every bit of my art is related to the other. So do I want to pursue my music further and see it come to fruition and see something further and see something palpable? Absolutely. Do I want to say that was an official release? No, you know, it was an Instagram post."
