101X Day Party During SXSW: Tues-Weds Artist Spotlight
This Tuesday and Wednesday we're kicking off SXSW Music Festival at Buffalo Billiards for Beers with Bands! It's two days of interviews, meet and greets, and acoustic performances from some of SXSW's most exciting artists. Come hang with us, enjoy some Bud Light specials (21+) and get to know your new favorite bands March 13-14 from 12-6 PM - no badge/wristband required! To help you get acquainted with our lineup, here's three of the artists stopping by Tuesday & Wednesday that we're stoked about:
Where they're from: Los Angeles, CA
Genre: Indie Pop
When they're stopping by: Wednesday, 4:00 PM
This LA-based three-piece hadn't even been on the scene for that long before they were already taking the world by storm with their debut single, "Broken", which garnered over 3 million streams and a spot on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart. Once you hear the track, their instant success comes as no surprise: these guys truly know how to craft a perfect, instantly-stuck-in-your-head pop song that you'll be singing all day after just one listen. Check out the music video for "Broken" down below.
Where he's from: Ipswich, England
Genre: Rock & Roll
When he's stopping by: Wednesday, 2:00 PM
Just a few years ago he was dropped by his label, working at a computer store, and sleeping on friends' couches. And now? He's landing singles on the alternative/rock charts and sharing bills with the likes of Ed Sheeran, The Lumineers, Blur, and The Who. Now that's a success story! And based on his passionate, commanding vocal ability and infectiously energetic live performances, we've got a strong feeling this is only the beginning. Check out the music video for his breakout single "Fire" down below.
Mike Wiebe (Riverboat Gamblers, Drakulas)
Where he's from: Austin, TX
When he's stopping by: Tuesday, 3:00 PM
One of punk rock's most most insane frontmen and a hilarious stand-up comedian too; our friend Mike Wiebe will be stopping by to hang out for a bit on Tuesday. There's no telling what's gonna do down, but its gonna be a great time. Check out Riverboat Gamblers' bizarre music video for "Good Veins" below.
