Amplify Austin is a community-wide day of online philanthropy with the goal of raising $1 million in 24 hours and, with your help, the reverb from our charitable giving will create excitement and goodness from 6th Street to Lake Travis…and beyond. Beginning at 7pm on March 4, 2013, Central Texans will be encouraged to march forth to www.AmplifyATX.org and give to their choice of over 300 local nonprofits. Together we’ll show the rest of the world just how charitable this community can be. The good vibes donors get from giving during Amplify Austin isn’t all they’ll gain. Throughout the event randomly selected donors will win impromptu serenades from some of the city’s most cherished musicians.

• All gifts will be “matched” on a pro rata basis by a pool of $160,000, generously underwritten by University Federal Credit Union and the Austin Community Foundation.

• During Amplify Austin one or two $1000 Bass Booster prizes will be awarded to the nonprofits that garner the most donors and most dollars donated during each hour. We hope to award a total of 48 Bass Booster Prizes.

• At the completion of Amplify Austin, four $5000 prizes, Drum Soloists, will be awarded to the nonprofits who raise the most money before midnight, most dollars overall, most donors overall, and the nonprofit who generates the most fundraising pages on their Amplify splash page.

• Over $200,000 in incentives will be awarded to over 300 nonprofits on top of the money contributed by individuals in the Austin community on Amplify Austin Day.
