Thanks to all of you who came out to the Summer Movie Series in the park last night.  ALL OF YOU!  Must have been 1000 ppl there!  I"m not exaggerating.  I wish I had gotten a pic, but it was too dark.  I can't believe the popularity of GOONIES!  I mean, seriously.  You would have thought it was the world premier of the movie.  We have one more for the year.  Its a little different this time because it's a make-up day for a rain out.  The show will be this coming MONDAY for IRONMAN!  I love that movie.  Hopefully we can get the same crowd.  Don't forget to get there early.  You'll be glad you did.  Central Market at 40th and Lamar is the location.

C'mon out!  Movie starts at sundown.  But, you should really get there early.  2 Weeks ago, for Indiana Jones, we probably had about 500 ppl come out!  It was packed and good sitting areas go pretty quick.  We also offer some "XIP" upgrades from the venue.  Which, by the way, is at Central Market on N. Lamar.  It's an outdoor movie on a huge inflatable screen.  So, grab your frineds and bring your ass.  Need more deets?  Check it here.  The movie will be "Serenity".  I've personally never heard of it, but it has quite the cult following.  Should be an interesting crowd.

Here I am.  Blogging.  Obviously, what I have to say is important. (i'm being sarcastic, by the way).  It seems EVERYONE is VERY important these days.  How do I know?  They're blog says so.  The mere existance of it is proof.  They put it on the World Wide Web for you to read their "funny critiques" of politics.  Perhaps the raw whimsy of their mood.  Maybe a glimpse to which record is "off the chain".  Wow, blogoshpere!  What would we do without you?

 

In other news.  I'm back from Vegas.  Still alive.  (although, there was some doubt here and there)  Hell, I even WON some money.  Not an incredible amount.  By my hazy account, around $180.  Not too shabby.  Paid for a meal or two at least.  Oh, and by the way, the restaurant "9" in the Palms Hotel/Casino is still my FAVORITE ON THE PLANET!  If you have ...

So, I leave for sin city tomorrow.  Can't wait.  I do like to gamble...and drink...and eat...and stay up all night doing those 3 things...and hookers are a plus.  I could never live in Vegas though.  Did you ever see Leaving Las Vegas?  Damn fine movie for Nick Cage.  But, that's pretty much how I would end up.

 

 

speaking of Movies.  A while back Maynard James Keenan came by the studio to do a little interview/wine tasting to plug his wine sighning at Whole Foods.  He was cool enough.  Don't think he smiled the entire time.  See the picture?  Anyhoo, they were filming the entire interview and the film crew seemed happy with the interview.  Well, low and behold, I ended up in the trailer for the upcoming movie which documents the his Vinyard and wine.  Check it out!  I'm in there.  Anyone know a good agent?

 

 

My blogs are becoming more infrequent than a geriatric's urinary schedule.  But, hey.  I'm only one man.  My intern is gone and it's hard for me to talk about myself in a 'blog".  I need 6 interns plus a "producer" like the morning show.  But, alas, I don't.  SO, ANYHOO... 

Blogging is strange to me.  Not sure why other people would give a crap about what I would have to say or my thoughts of the day.  It's quite a pompous idea.  I know ppl that have their own blogs.  Are they famous? no. Are they musicians? no. Are they anyone of interest to you?  Probably not.  Why do they insist on blogging as if anyone cares about their opinions or ideas?  I really don't know.  Look at me!  I'm a BLOGGER! You know, I don't know if I'm a "lake person".  I went out on the lake with my buddies yesterday.  I have to say, I don't know if I truly enjoy it.  Think about it.  You're out on the choppy water (too many boats) trying to get from 1 cove to the next,  You cant really wakeboard or ski or ANYTHING for that matter.  You finally anchor.  Drink some beers.  Maybe a shot or 2.  Now, its 3p, I'm buzzed, it's hot as hell and all I can think of is getting home to take a cool shower.  Hmmm.  Like I said, the jury is still out on me being a lake person.  Maybe I'll get used to it.  My theory is:  the only reason guys like going out on the lake is to A: flaunt their money, popularity, or boat.  Or, B: to see chicks get drunk and half ...

Just when I thought that nobody ever listened at 2pm or at 4pm when I called their name I was proven wrong.  Finally a workforce winner called in, can you believe it?  Congrats Racheal.  She told me she doesn't have any friends, and doesn't know what to do with the extra ticket.  Maybe some homeless guy will be a Rise Against fan and will go and sit with her.  She is going to have to feed the homeless guy I am sure.

So I was wondering the other day just where and what happened to Tom Green.  The one guy that showed his testicular cancer operation on MTV, married Drew Barrymore, and humped a moose.  Of course he did this little "whiz" of a movie:

 

 

He did some other stuff that I am not really interested in, so I will not go into detail.  Did you know that Tom Green was on The Apprentice?  Oh you did...so you know that he was fired on March 15 then.  Well then I am done.  I just was wondering where he was, but you already knew.

You know you should always be thankful for like stuff, like that one homeless couple that got a wedding provided for them by a church in Washington DC.  Yeah, that money you put in the collection plate goes to the ceremony, including the dress and suit.  So the couple has been together for 9 years, the groom, Dante White, is 28 and has been on the street since he was 14.  The bride, Nhiahni Chestnut, has had battles with drugs and alcohol.  Maybe they can get enough money for a house if they sell their story to Hollywood.  I get 50% of the cut since I came up with the idea of selling it to Hollywood.  Wanna read the entire story then click here.
