All Delighted People EP was unexpectedly released as a digital download to the surprise of everyone. So what does Stevens do next for an encore? Why he sets up a U.S. tour, and preps the release of a new full length. Yes I said it...a new full length. The LP entitled The Age of Adz is set to drop in early October, which is set up as the second record by Stevens available in a two month time frame. Now Hugo is actually no stranger to the electronic music scene since he's a member from another band called Jonquil. However, Chad Valley has gone a more psychedelic route, with a bit of Chill-Wave on the side. Today's catch is an ethereal groove called "Anything" that always puts a smile on my face. The vocals remind me a bit of Grizzly Bear, but it's the deep-house beat mixed with dreamy electronics that steal the show. When I think of a "chill, electronic" song, then "Anything" would be my first thought of what that particular sound should be. You can kick back now, and listen to a clip of today's catch in the player above. Fever Ray released a studio version of Peter Gabriel's "Mercy Street" for only a 24 hour windown before it was made unavailable on their website. I was lucky enough to get the mp3 before the window closed, but don't fret...they will be releasing it on 7" and download later this year. Now in my opinion, FR is the perfect band to take on a classic Gabriel track since his earlier work was very experimental - very similar to Fever Ray's debut album that has been out since 2008. He is best known for remixing the likes of Chromeo, Deadmau5, Dave Gahan, and Bat for Lashes; however, his remix for La Roux's "In For the Kill" is his most well-known piece of work to date. This little track has already made appearances on several commercials and even an episode on Entourage. Well, Skream is getting ready to release his 2nd full length album entitled Outside the Box. The first single happens to be my catch of the day, and it also reunites him with La Roux. "Finally" is a beautiful track that really shows how great of chemistry the two really have together.
