I've always been a HUGE fan of Alice in Chains. The band suffered a great loss with the passing of Layne, but are just as good if not better today. Very much looking forward to the new album. This track feels so GOD DAMNED GRITTY!!!

What does it mean to be punk rock?

I guess, if you get to the root of it all, it's very subjective...the meaning of "Punk Rock" or "Rock n Roll". A lot of people throw the words around to describe clothing, music, or sometimes a lifestyle. But, in my head, it's almost ALWYAYS abused. There is something more to the meaning. It's the dedication. But, this dedication CAN NOT be contrived. You see, for me, it HAS to be hapless. An accident. Unintentional. Unfortunate, even. A moth to the flame. Something that you would not necessarily wish upon your worst enemy. It's a love and passion for something that may decide to NEVER return the love and adoration you give it. But, it's that unconditional love you have for something (no matter how it treats you) that elevates you to the "punk rock" or "rock n roll" status. In our lifetime, we would be LUCKY to find something so ...
