Another SXSW PRO TIP-LITTLE DRAGON

Alright, how bout a little, Little Dragon? I saw them (her, right?) on their very first go round on a Sunday night at The Parish 4ish years ago, with maybe 75 other people. It was sweet. Then I saw them at Lollapalooza 2012 on the normally dub step, headbanging, "Perry's Stage". It was...interesting. They were great and sounded good on that stage, but the crowd was too tweaked, or something, to get it. It seemed like the danceheads all went "huh?" at the same time. Anyway they're here for SX and you should go. details here. Lube your luber with this sweet vid. Oh yeah it's new and it kicks ass. See you there.

Like it or not, my friends, (and you might as well like it) it's here. SXSW 2014! Admittedly, even I have been putting off planning for, thinking about, and maybe most importantly; lubing the 'ol liver for the ensuing madness that will be Austin, TX in just over a week. Me? Procrastinate? Nooo. OK, yes. Anyway, in an effort to properly prepare for this thing, let's take a look at some good bets for solid showcases.
In the coming days I'll highlight a bunch of artists worth a buzzed stumble-over (maybe...if you can find your stupid Garmin, or if your more sensible festival buddy can show you the way) through the swarms and over the woods of SX'ers, freeloaders, and people just staring off into space, to the shadiest non venue-venue on Dirty-6th to see...A line. Just kidding. Let's all have fun, stay positive and safe out there, and get ...

Rock and Roll super-hero Dave Grohl and fellow Foo's took part in this year's big game action over the weekend, performing at a temporary, Bud Light sponsored stage inside of a museum. The show was streamed live on the band's site and included classic Foo jams and some new material, which, apparently was NOT streamed. So. Check the video of the show and just know that good things are in store for us fans of the boys Foo. Oh, and I heard they were coming for SXSW.
