Unreleased Deftones Music-RIP CHI

Posted 4/14/2014 10:09:00 AM

Late last week we got some previously unreleased music from Sacto, CA's Deftones.  Chino, marking the one year anniversary of bass player, Chi Cheng's passing, shared an unreleased song from the record "Eros" which would end up getting shelved later on. Check out "Smile".

Happy Friday!  For me, I'm going to use this weekend to south by south REST before the madness next week.  How bout a showcase rec'?  St. Vincent plays at Stubb's on Wednesday and you should try and go if you're doing the whole, SX thang.  details here.

Check out Digital Witness, currently my staff pick, from her brand new, self titled album out now.

Alright, how bout a little, Little Dragon? I saw them (her, right?) on their very first go round on a Sunday night at The Parish 4ish years ago, with maybe 75 other people. It was sweet. Then I saw them at Lollapalooza 2012 on the normally dub step, headbanging, "Perry's Stage".  It was...interesting. They were great and sounded good on that stage, but the crowd was too tweaked, or something, to get it. It seemed like the danceheads all went "huh?" at the same time.  Anyway they're here for SX and you should go.  details here. Lube your luber with this sweet vid. Oh yeah it's new and it kicks ass.  See you there.
